Emerce Ehome&deco + Woonbeurs Amsterdam
Yesterday I had a great day. At invitation from Kirsten Janssies, "the social media queen" from Sanoma, I was able to attend the Emerce seminar dedicated to online e-commerce held for professionals in the home and decoration sector.
Between all the grey suites what I thought would be a long-winded day was surprisingly a very interesting one. From 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. the variety of speakers were able to caught my attention, in themes from augmented reality, to e.marketing strategy, content marketing & social media, SEO you name it!
Note to my self: Some new keywords and quotes
- "logistics is the new marketing"
- ROPO effect research online Purchase Offline
- ZMOT or the Zero Moment of Truth theory
- a tablet device is not the same as a smart-phone
- Responsive design (this one was not new but very important!)

After the seminar was time to head to the "woonbeurs", the interior design trade show of the Netherlands. Refilled with a delicious portuguese fish soup powered by Amaro I was able to visit all the magazine homes. Favourite was the vtwonen home inspired by Amaro's barn followed by 101woonideeen styled by the talented Anke Helmich from Style Cookie and where you can buy one of the 20 chairs designed by upcoming talented dutch designers, with all provit reverting to Kika, a charity that helps children's cancer research projects.
The fair is open until Sunday, and I... I had a blast!
